Starlink kitsand what each one costs

Available kits

Since May 2026 Starlink no longer sells the dish to new customers: it's rented for 10 € a month — currently on promotion at 0 € — and has to be returned when you cancel the service. The exception is the High Performance dish, which is bought outright. Here are the three kits we install across Catalonia and what each one is for.

Standard Kit Mini

Equipment rental: 10 €/month

The Starlink Standard Kit Mini offers a 110° field of view with software-assisted manual orientation, dual-band 3×3 MU-MIMO WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (WiFi 5) connectivity and the ability to connect up to 128 devices, with coverage of up to 112 m². It features an Ethernet LAN port with a Starlink plug, WPA2 security, and is compatible with all Starlink mesh systems (not compatible with third-party mesh systems).

Weighing 1.16 kg with IP67 Type 4 environmental rating, it operates between -30 °C and 50 °C, withstands winds over 96 km/h and can melt snow at up to 25 mm/h. Average power draw is 25–40 W, it accepts a 12 to 48 V input (60 W) and requires 100 W USB power delivery (20 V/5 A minimum). The power supply (91 × 44 × 51 mm, 0.2 kg) has an IP66 Type 4 rating, specifications of 100–240 V ~ 1.6 A 50–60 Hz and a 12-month warranty.

Standard Kit V4

Equipment rental: 10 €/month

The Starlink Standard Kit V4 features an electronically steered phased-array antenna, a 110° field of view and software-assisted manual orientation. With IP67 Type 4 environmental rating, it operates between -30 °C and 50 °C, withstands winds over 96 km/h and can melt snow at up to 40 mm/h, with average power draw of 75–100 W and a weight of 2.9 kg (3.2 kg with mount).

The WiFi router features 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax (WiFi 6) technology, Tri-Band 4×4 MU-MIMO radio, coverage of up to 297 m² and connectivity for up to 235 devices, with two Ethernet LAN ports and WPA2 security. The power supply (173 × 93 × 35.75 mm, 0.65 kg) has an IP66 Type 4 rating, specifications of 100–240 V ~ 2.5 A 50–60 Hz and a 12-month warranty.

High Performance Kit

Purchase: 2,500 €

Designed for intensive use and mission-critical business applications. It offers a wider field of view, better performance in adverse weather conditions and greater capacity for scenarios with many simultaneous users or high data demands.

It is the recommended option for fixed business installations, road mobility and maritime environments, where service availability is a priority. It’s the only kit that’s bought rather than rented, and its cost can be financed over 12 months.

Weather resistant
Starlink is built to withstand a range of weather conditions: it can melt snow and withstand sleet, heavy rain and strong winds.
Fast
Download speeds from 80 to over 400 Mbps depending on the plan, upload from 8 to 25 Mbps, and latency of 20 to 60 ms.
Unlimited locations
A business can have as many locations as it needs. Once the first service is set up, more locations are added from the portal and we manage them all together.

Where we install

Catalonia without decent coverage isn't the exception: it's the Pyrenean valleys, inland Berguedà and Garrotxa, farmhouses in the Bages and Priorat, farms in the Segrià and coves along the Costa Brava. These are the jobs we get called for most.

Farmhouses and remote houses
The most common job: a house a couple of kilometres from the village, with 3 Mbps ADSL or nothing at all. Dish on the roof and running the same day.
Rural tourism and campsites
Group accommodation, Pyrenean campsites and Costa Brava lodgings that need wifi for guests and a POS system that won’t drop in August.
Agriculture and livestock
Farms in the Segrià, Noguera and Garrigues: remote-managed irrigation, sensors, farm cameras and field reports from your phone.
Construction and industry
Site cabins, industrial estates without a connection, and warehouses in isolated industrial land. Temporary or permanent connectivity, with a public IP if needed.
Boating and the Costa Brava
Recreational and professional boats with coverage while sailing and in port, from Portbou to the Ebro delta and beyond.
Energy and renewables
Solar and wind farms, mini power plants and measuring stations in mountain areas, with stable telemetry and remote access.
